Century Chinese Export Famille Rose Armorial Plate Jackson. Condition: Rim frits and chips, otherwise in excellent condition consistent with age and usage. Please examine the photos; they are part of the description. Chinese export famille rose plate with arms of Jackson. The rim is edged in a gilded chain pattern. The border contains a continuous gilt bamboo branch interspersed with flowers. The cavetto is edged in the same gilded chain pattern as the edge. The center contains the family arms with the motto Non Sidi Sed Toti meaning Not just for oneself, but for all. The reverse has an old label with the motto and a translation. The arms are Jackson of the Counties Derby, Stafford, and Waterford. The service of which this plate is a part was made either for the Jackson family of Bubnell in Derbyshire or that of County Waterford.
