Chinese Blue and White Vase Decorated with Peacock Birds & Peonies Qianlong Mark. A large and impressive Chinese vase decorated in underglaze blue with a scene of birds amongst peony flowers. Birds appear to be peacocks and sparrows. Base has a six character Qianlong mark. Unsure of age possibly 19th century.

Old paper label on base next to mark. In very good condition with no chips or cracks. Firing pin hole marks all over, other firing marks and spots.

Tiny spot of possible glaze loss and crazing lines on basal rim - see photo 12 - nothing serious, mentioned for completeness. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE PHOTOS.
