Chinese carved white jade lotus blossom brush washer, China

  
The brush washer is beautifully carved in high relief and reticulated. The lotus flower and leaves borne on multiple stems are bundled together on the underside.

Perched between the flowers is a small three legged toad, a great FengShui sign. The quality of the white jade and carving is of the highest and best quality, again made by a master carver (artist) a true work of art, which is very difficult to find in todays market. This piece came to me from an old collection of rare and unusual Chinese art objects. H x 4.5 in.
