CHINESE EXPORT SILVER TEA CADDY c1890 - SIGNED. A very fine, late 19th century Chinese export silver tea caddy. In raised ovoid form with all over, hand carved bamboo leafy branch.

Set atop rich stippled surface, providing a lovely visual contrast. Smooth surface neck with stylized Greek Key and hand engraved bamboo leaves.

Well fit beaker style cover with conforming bamboo on satin. This fine c1890 Chinese export silver tea caddy is 5 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches. Across and weighs a touch under 8 standard ounces. Hallmarked in series of characters. Retains original detail and cover well fit.
