Beautiful mid 20th century (1940s) black lacquer Chinese imperial bird cage. Gold leaf paint trim all around. Please note that some of the black lacquer is chipping but it's hard to notice because the wood underneath is also black in color.
The cage has a slide out bottom for cleaning and 1 door in front that opens for access to the cage. There are also two feeding doors on each side with cups for food and water that rotate 360 degrees.
In addition, the item may not stand up perfectly straight as wood warps over many years. Similar to a wobbly table, you may need to put something underneath like A piece of cardboard which can be daily shaped and hidden under the base. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
