Antique 19CCHINESE CARVED ROSEWOOD & MARBLE LION/FOO DOG TABLE/TABORET/STAND

  
This great hefty large size stand is heavily and profusely carved. The apron is pierce carved with a leaf and fruit design. The four legs stand out with carving that depicts a unique foo dog design on the knees with claw and ball feet. The taboret is all mortise and tenon construction.

The octagonal angled rouge marble top is inset in a smooth wooden frame with lovely carved beading on the edge. The table is braced on the top with stretchers connecting the legs and decorative stretchers further down the legs to support the heavy hardwood carving and marble top. Missing pieces, with some old repair to stretcher that does not effect stability. Small gouge on the wood frame top as seen in photo.
