ANTIQUE CHINESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL FOOTED BOWL BRONZE DRAGON HANDLES QING DYNASTY. Is a superb and authentic Chinese antique, a large footed bowl, compote or centerpiece. A beautiful antique polychrome cloisonne, with enamel strong colour fillings on gilded copper body, and with two large gilded bronze Dragon handles. There are scenes of Water or Sealife on the upside of the bowl, a Turtle on the center represents the Earth Mother, Turtle is one of the oldest living animal ancestors walking on Earth today, the oldest fossils of Turtles are dated at over 200 million years old, this is highly symbolic, it indicates the Turtle is a symbol of Longevity, Endurance, Protection, Innocence, Stability, Strength, Patience, Creation, Order.
