Antique Chinese Export Canton reticulated fruit basket Chestnut 18th/19th

  
This Chinese export reticulated bowl and underplate are decorated in the Canton style. The bowl is 9 ¼ inches long and 4 ¼ inches high including the handles. The underplate is 10 1/8 inches long and 8 ¾ inches wide. There was gilding along the edge of the bowl but it has mostly worn off. The bowl and underplate are decorated a little differently and the quality of the decoration on the bowl looks better.

These date to the late 18. Or first half of the 19.

Both handles on the bowl have old repairs. The underplate has had a couple of repairs along the edge as well as some chips repaired. This came from the estate of Jeanne McCracken of Park Avenue in New York City.
