Antique Engraved Chinese Opium Lamp Tray in Brass

  

A brass lamp tray, late Qing to early Republic, delicately engraved with a dedication or poem, a spotted deer, crane, rocks, foliage and the sacred mushroom/wishing wands. The second and last example to be divested from my collection, this lamp tray was traditionally placed on a larger wooden tray and protected the more delicate surface from resins, oil, heat and flame, all consequences of active use. Measures 6.7"X10" and weighs 1 lb 3.5 ounces. The value declared must be equal to the insured value.
