CHINESE EXPORT SILVER MUG c1890 WHIG NAM - CRANES IN IRIS This is a beautifully hand crafted, late 19th century, Chinese export silver mug. Hand decorated with a richly detailed family of cranes feeding along gentle stream lined' with iris in various stages of bloom. Raised full moon shaped shield, with a crane gazing skyward, as another soars in for landing. Perhaps like a mis-minted coin, the mug should have been signed Wing Nam, for that well listed Hong Kong shop, see Chan 2003.
