Chinese Nephrite Spinach Jade Censer, Incense Burner, Ruyi Handles, 18/19th C. Date: 18th to 19th Century. Material(s): Nephrite Jade, Wood. Jade Color: Spinach green dark inclusions and small area of tan to light green. Design Elements: Nephrite jade censer carved with inward beveled mouth rim two ruyi (scepter) form handles and raised circular foot.

Exterior of censer carved with low relief auspicious symbols including: wheel of law, endless knot, twin fish, lotus etc. Low relief lappet border just above foot rim. Later added hardwood cover carved and pierced with two phoenix and peonies design. Jade Height: 9.9 cm (3.90 in). Jade Width (handle to handle): 20.5 cm (8.07 in).

Jade Weight: 998 g (2 lb 3.2 oz). CONDITION: Natural inclusions and natural cracks throughout stone.
