ENGLISH STERLING COFFEE POT 1818 JOSEPH ANGELL - CHINESE MANNER A very fine and rare 1818 British sterling coffee pot in the Chinese manner. From Joseph Angell, first listed 1811.

Raised baluster form with leaf and flower rim, scalloped base, accented by partial shell. Bird of prey peers down a upon family crest of badger alongside tree, shield flanked by cherub wavy leaf and holding bird. Opposite shield with cherub enjoying grapes.

Shields united by leaf and floral on satin background. Cover with original reclining Mandarin holding jug looking skyward. Leaf cap spout rising from cavorting cherub mount.

Growling wolf's head rolled leaf cap double scroll handle. This 1818 British sterling Chinoiserie coffee pot 10 1/2 inches tall and. Weighs over 41 standard ounces.
