EOFF & SHEPARD SILVER TEA KETTLE & STAND c1855 CHINESE MANNER. A fine and very rare, monumental c1855 Eoff & Shepard silver Chinese decorated tea kettle on matching stand. Known for beautifully crafted silver wares.

An identical shaped tea service, without the Chinoiserie decoration is displayed in. The Museum of the City of New York. The tea urn is in slender pear shape with beautifully detailed scenes of Chinese man. Seated in garden holding exotic bird.

Another Chinese man with parasol, a Chinese maiden playing. Shamisen and a second enjoying a flower, all within lush tree and foliage. The cover retains the original leaf and flower pierced vine finial.

Naturalistic branch spout and overhead swing handle with entwined flower and vine. Atop flower framed pierced turned leaf vine tip feet united by.

Overlapping satin surface chased leaves. The kettle stands atop the original matching footed stand, and retains one of the two chained securing pins. Leaf and flower accented branch feet with leaf tip, united by pierced flowering branch. Hand engraved "Robertson" to one side, for the original owners. Hallmarked as shown, well struck. This rare c1855 Eoff & Shepard tea kettle on stand is 15 1/2 inches tall. And the set weighs a bit over 75 standard ounces. Interior clean as if little used.
