Ancient China, Southern Song Dynasty. This elegant bowl is covered with a lustrous blackish-brown glaze with russet'hare's fur' and faint silvery and iridescent streaks, pooling and stopping in an irregular line above the foot exposing the chocolate-brown body. Provenance: Formerly in an old London private collection. Condition: In very good overall condition with some accretion and age related wear. Can be provided if requested.
