Because of the huge difference of the firing temperatures of both colors, most underglazed iron red painting would be melted together and lose its strokes and shapes. The Kylins dance around the globular body and neck of this vase.

The blue cloud around the dragon is painted with different style than other vase you have probably seen. Without any major strokes, the cloud is actually formed with many super fine lines. Underneath it has a 6 character seal mark. It's in good condition without any major imperfection, only normal wear and tear. This is truly a museum quality collectible.
