A rare large antique Chinese early 17th century Wanli wucai porcelain rouleau vase. This wonderful Wanli rouleau porcelain vase has a very unusual and possibly unique shape with a gently flaring body leading to wide shoulders, a thin neck and a wide rim. It has been decorated with many fabulous squirrels climbing through grapes and vines in wonderful wucai colors including beautiful cobalt blues. The vase measures approximately 15 1/2 inches high. The vase has had professional, museum-quality restoration which has brought the vase back to its original condition. From the inside the vase looks to have been broken into at least two pieces and then restored. There is a repaired drill hole to the base.
