Lovely 1920s Art Deco Silk Hand Embroidered Chinese Jacket Phryne Fisher Coat

  

A gorgeous Chinese hand embroidered jacket dating to the early 20th century. A shorter version of the wonderful coat worn by the character Phryne Fisher in Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Made of a black silk and heavily embroidered with cream silk thread. The style is meant to be loose and boxy. The design includes birds, butterflies and flowers galore!

All the embroidery appears to be intact. In very good condition overall; there are a couple of small marks on the inside tissue silk lining as well a couple of small tears near the neck. In very good condition overall: the outside is in outstanding condition, on the inside there are a couple of small marks on the tissue silk lining as well a couple of small tears near the neck (please see photos).
